Paper Analysis (not a chemical analysis)

Using equipment like an Ames Digital Micrometer and Microscopes with optional UV/IR illuminations, I analyze and compare each piece of paper within a multi-page document to determine patterns of differences and similarities of Paper Weights/thickness (20 lb everyday copy paper vs 100 lb cover paper), Paper Watermarks and Dating Codes, Paper Fibers and Paper Brightness/Fluorescences.

My scientific techniques identify patterns of characteristic differences between writings penned with a Ballpoint pen, a Gel pen, a Fountain pen, and a Fiber pen (“Sharpie”).
